It’s been a real pleasure working with Putri from Alternate Tone so far. Having not touched a piano in decades, I really wanted to reconnect but was apprehensive. She’s really helped re-inspire me by breaking things down, showing extreme patience and also being a task master where needed in drilling me on getting the basics right. I feel like I’ve come a long way in just a few short weeks thanks to her tutelage. She’s a great teacher!

At first, I thought I couldn’t never play bar chords. But my instructor Javen from Alternate Tone has helped me through. Now I play well and had been performing with confidence.

I have recently started learning piano from Alternate Tone about a month or so ago. Every lesson was fun and interesting as I learned more and more each lesson. I feel that I would not have learned so much in such a short period time or even picked up bad playing habits if not for the instructor, so, I am really glad and blessed that I picked up piano lessons with Alternate Tone.

When you study music with Alternate Tone, you are learning in a very interesting place – relaxed yet productive in an open-concept school. I’m currently doing jazz piano with Putri, a very talented and focused teacher, who definitely knows what she’s doing. I’ve been through the classical train and I must say, this is far more enjoyable, always tapping on my creativity and full of new challenges.

I have had piano lessons here for less than four months, but I enjoy the lessons with Ms. Putri as I learn new techniques that enables me to play the songs I’m set with, and improvise for songs that I’m interested in.
