Learning Acoustic Guitar with us

Have a favorite song you have been wanting to play? Our instructor can help you get that. In this course, you’ll get to learn all the different types of strumming and plucking patterns, various guitar chord – different chord progressions, chord substitutions, how are they formed and how to create your own chords. By the end of the acoustic guitar course, you will be able to play your favorite songs and experience different types of genre playing.

Our passion for teaching guitar is to impart the skills of real-world application, music theory, instrument maintenance, knowledge about the instrument itself, and to truly be a student of the guitar. Many times, the content in instructional method books can be quite different to what is being applied by musicians. The books are technically not wrong, but over time, you will realize what you learn in these books are not what is being used by musicians.

We believe that if you learn an acoustic guitar, you should also learn some music theory as well. This will equip you to communicate in a more precise and articulate way with other musicians. Therefore, the notes that we have prepared for our students contain music notations, which they will learn how to read. You will also have the necessary skills to be an all rounded musician and even if you choose to pursue a full-time study in music, you can be assured that you’ll be ready for it.

What you can expect to learn at our Acoustic Guitar lessons:

1. Your favourite songs – have a song you’ve been wanting to play? We’ll help you get there

2. Strumming & Plucking techniques – learn all different strumming and plucking patterns that you’ll ever need and best of all, we will teach you how to create your own.

3. Guitar Chords – learn different chord progressions, chord substitutions, how are they formed and how to create your own chords

4. Music Theory – set your foundation right, understand and interpret written music and translate that into your playing.

5. Scales – learning scales will strengthen your fretting hand and build coordination between your fingers. It also allows you to move between chords and scale patterns easily.

6. Pop Song Transcription – develop skills to transcribe any songs in the future. In addition, our instructors are able to provide transcription for you based on your level of playing, at no additional cost.
